Usually, only the sponsor or his representative is authorized to proceed with the procedures for canceling the residency visas that he sponsors, and the sponsored person cannot proceed with the application himself without the sponsor’s permission.

The following documents must be attached and shown when submitting the residency visa cancellation request:

Cancellation request form signed by the sponsor
In the event that the sponsor is a company or establishment, the application must include the signature and stamp of the company, accompanied by the clearance letter and the completion of procedures by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The original passport of the sponsored person
The original identity card of the sponsored person
In the event that the sponsored person is outside the country, the original passport must be brought, and if it is not possible to request an extract of the residence visa from the computer.
